Manufacturing Technician

2nd Shift, Part-Time

SUMMARY

We are looking for world-class talent with a passion for developing leading-edge life science technologies in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment. Curi Bio is seeking an industrious, highly-detail oriented, and self motivated Manufacturing Technician to join our growing production team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in manufacturing of devices, instruments, and consumables for the life sciences industry. The ideal candidate possesses strong Microsoft Office (excel, word, powerpoint) and multi-tasking skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, machining and 3D printing skills, and experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with limited supervision. This position will begin as a part-time role (20 hrs/wk guaranteed) with the potential to convert to a full time role in the future, subject to growing customer demand. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manufacturing of biomedical products using techniques such as silicone rubber compression molding, nanofabrication, and hardware component assembly

  • Independently manage product assembly, packaging, and sterilization

  • Independently manage order queue and fulfillment of orders in a timely manner

  • Maintaining strict adherence to written procedures and protocols developed internally

  • Work with CNC machines and 3D printers as well as other machine shop instruments

  • Complete and maintain processing documentation such as lot tracking, quality control reports, maintenance logs

  • Propose revisions to procedures, batch records, work instructions, and other materials to improve workflow and reduce the potential for errors

  • Implement changes and optimizations to manufacturing processes

  • Follow the appropriate quality control processes set by QC team on any incoming components and finished devices

  • Execute test procedures and feedback to process owners

  • Perform scheduled and as-needed cleaning and maintenance operations of work areas, equipment, and lab supplies

  • Assist in maintaining finished goods and raw material inventory levels

  • Support a safe work environment by following all PPE and CDC protocols and requirements as well as by identifying any opportunities for improvement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven ability to problem-solve independently

  • Manual dexterity

  • High school degree or equivalent certificate

  • Ability to read, follow and understand operating procedures

  • Effective at managing time and workload with minimal supervision

  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel/Sheets) and word processing (Word/Docs)

  • Well-organized and detail-oriented

  • Operate with a team-first mentality

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree

  • Familiarity with operating CNC machines and 3D printers

  • 1 - 3 years relevant work experience 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The job responsibilities of this position are predominantly performed on-site.

  • Will be working in a lab environment where various PPE will be required

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to occasionally carry and/or lift up to 30 pounds while handling equipment and/or materials (strong dexterity skills are needed)

  • Hours can be flexible as long as the manufacturing deadlines are met

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS

  • PAY: Hourly, $22-25/hr

  • HOURS: Part Time (20 hrs/wk guaranteed, if high demand, occasional extra hours available) 

  • 2nd Shift: Flexible 20hrs per week starting 1pm or later or anytime on weekends
