JOB DESCRIPTION
The Therapeutic Assays department at Curi Bio engages with biotech and pharmaceutical clients to use proprietary technology to design and model diseases in engineered 3D tissues and organ-on-a-chip technologies. A leader in iPSC-derived cardiac and skeletal tissue models, the Therapeutic Assays team utilizes in-house Biological, Engineering, and AI technology to create high fidelity in vitro assays that model real human outcomes in pharma discovery and rare disease. At the Nexus of biology and engineering, you will work with our engineers, bio-engineers, data scientists, and software engineers to create biology and engineering solutions for disease modeling. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of disease biology, a desire to use cutting-edge technology to push forward progress, and the ability to handle and manage multiple, exciting, and diverse projects
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Engineering of 3D skeletal and cardiac muscle tissues.
Perform disease-modeling experiments using custom 3D engineered tissues.
Maintenance and recording, and microscopy of engineered tissues.
Detailed, up-to-date, and well-documented cell culture and microscopy in an Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN).
Rotation with laboratory staff for weekend work and laboratory duties.
Possibility of customer interaction and presentation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of tissue culture experience
Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with diverse teammates.
High quality analysis and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple timelines and goals.
Proficient in standard Office programs like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Proven ability to troubleshoot technical and scientific issues, both individually and as part of a team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years industry experience.
Experience in cardiac or skeletal muscle
Experience in Neuronal cultures

Job Summary
The Field Applications Scientist (FAS) is a technical expert and customer advocate who will drive the successful application and development of our innovative platforms. You will provide comprehensive pre- and post-sale support—including product demonstrations, training, and troubleshooting—while actively gathering customer insights and market trends. This role requires hands-on laboratory expertise to design and execute experiments that expand our applications portfolio and unlock new research workflows.
Primary Responsibilities
Applications Development
Gather and analyze customer feedback and market trends to identify unmet needs and opportunities for new applications development.
Design, plan, and execute experiments using Curi Bio’s platforms to develop key customer data for lead generation and pipeline progression.
Stay current with scientific advances and industry trends in stem cell biology, tissue engineering, and drug discovery to effectively communicate Curi Bio's value proposition.
Customer Success
Develop a deep technical understanding of Curi Bio's technology and products to deliver exceptional pre- and post-sale support to customers, ensuring their research objectives are met.
Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, workshops, and webinars to educate customers on the effective use of Curi Bio's platforms.
Proactively address and resolve technical inquiries and challenges, ensuring customer research objectives are met.
Build and maintain robust relationships with key customers and collaborators to support the expansion of platform adoption.
Technical Expertise
Serve as a trusted scientific advisor to customers, understanding their research needs and providing tailored guidance.
Develop high-quality technical marketing materials for lead generation, including application notes, presentations, and whitepapers.
Represent Curi Bio at scientific conferences, trade shows, and industry meetings by presenting research findings and technical insights.
Collaborate closely with internal teams (R&D, Sales, Marketing) to relay customer insights and drive product improvements.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in stem cell biology, developmental biology, bioengineering, or a related scientific field,
3-5 years of hands-on laboratory experience in stem cell biology, assay development, and/or tissue engineering.
Expertise in cardiac and/or skeletal muscle biology is strongly preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for customer site visits to provide on-site training and support as well as scientific meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a field applications, technical support, or customer-facing scientific role within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
Experience with 3D cell culture, organ-on-a-chip, or complex co-culture systems.
Familiarity with iPSC-derived or primary cell models and their applications in drug discovery.

Work Environment
The job responsibilities of this position are predominantly performed on-site at Curi Bio HQ near downtown Seattle.
Will enter a BSL2 laboratory environment, including potential exposure to biohazards.
Overnight travel (domestic and international) required to attend scientific meetings, customer demos and training, up to 50% of time.
Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
Fine motor movements in fingers/hands to operate computers and lab equipment.
Must be able to follow all risk reduction and risk mitigation guidelines as provided by federal, state, and local governments, building management, and the company.

The TAM serves as the primary liaison for key customer accounts, offering expert technical support, cultivating enduring relationships, and uncovering new business opportunities. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, customer relationship management, and business acumen, ensuring that clients achieve optimal outcomes while aligning with our strategic objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Account Management
Develop and nurture strong, long-term partnerships with key customers by understanding their research objectives and challenges to drive adoption and scale usage.
Manage a portfolio of accounts to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
Proactively identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within existing accounts.
Address customer needs promptly and effectively, providing tailored support.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and R&D to align customer needs with Curi Bio's strategic goals.
Cultivate strategic partnerships to drive expanded utilization of Curi Bio's products and services.
Technical Support and Applications
Deliver expert technical support through product demonstrations, customer training, and troubleshooting.
Assist clients with experimental design, data interpretation, and workflow optimization.
Conduct on-site installations and user training for Curi Bio's platforms.
Develop and maintain technical resources, including application notes, FAQs, and training documentation.
Stay current on advancements in stem cell biology, tissue engineering, and drug discovery to best support client needs.
Sales Support
Partner with the sales & marketing team to identify, qualify, and convert new opportunities.
Provide technical insights during sales presentations and product discussions.
Assist in crafting tailored sales proposals and presentations.
Contribute to meeting and exceeding sales targets and overall revenue goals.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees such as Ph.D. or MS preferred.
3-5 years of experience in technical sales, account management, or customer success roles.
Strong knowledge of stem cell biology, tissue engineering, and drug discovery processes.
Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Experience with technical instrumentation and assay development.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for scientific meetings, customer site visits, and marketing events
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in account management, technical support, or customer-facing scientific roles within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
